CVC is partnering with Maranatha to do a mission project in Paraguay. We will be building a church, offering VBS and a medical clinic, and taking an excursion to Brazil and Argentina sides of Iguazu Falls. Dates are March 5-16, including travel dates. Cost is $1,300 plus airfare (or maybe less, depending on how many sign up). Deposit of $300 is due by mid-December. We need a commitment soon so we can book hotels and group airfare. Please contact Sheryl Selivanoff at 402.770.3392 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you have any questions or want to join the team!
Christmas Eve Service: Mark your calendars to be a part of our church family celebration on Tuesday, December 24, at 5pm in the Sanctuary. There will be something for the whole family as we remember the gift of baby Jesus.
Reflections Service: Friday, December 27, at 6pm in the Sanctuary. This is a time when we remember CVC family members who are now resting while they await Jesus' soon return. If you have a close family member who has died this year, please send their name to Rich Carlson, 402.570.0496 so we can be sure and include them.
Organ Restoration: CVC is beginning a project to restore our organ to its original state when it was installed 40 years ago. We are also planning on updating the electronics. We have begun fund-raising for this project, which will also be supported by Union Adventist University. We have a $20,000 matching grant challenge which has been offered by a donor willing to match any gifts up to $20,000 through December. Please prayerfully consider supporting this project. To donate, mark a tithe envelope "organ restoration." If you are interested in making a very substantial donation, we are also dreaming of installing the 1,171 additional pipes! For more information, please contact Keith Riese at 402.483.5954. Let's make this something that all current & future generations can enjoy together.
Please help us teach everyone to respect the church's property, including the plants. We appreciate your help!
Beginner I Sabbath School collects canned food labels from the brands of Worthington, Loma Linda and Caroline. All UPC codes from these can products begin with 45561. Only the can labels can be collected (not the frozen packaging labels). We use these labels in our SS program and then turn them in to the food companies for $0.25 per label. We would love your participation! Just remove the entire label from your canned foods, place them in a bag and leave them by the Beginner I SS door or at the church office. Thank you!

Prayer Focus: "Christ is the connecting link between God and man. He has promised His personal intercession. He places the whole virtue of His righteousness on the side of the suppliant. He pleads for man, and man, in need of divine help, pleads for himself in the presence of God, using the influence of the One who gave His life for the life of the world." (Testimonies for the Church, vol. 8, 178) Send your prayer requests and praises to Dina Horst at 402.420.5970. Thank you!
