WORSHIP THIS SABBATH

The youth of CVC are active in their faith, whether that's running programs to keep their peers engaged, focusing on Jesus, sharing the gospel, or worshipping together. This week they want to share some of their faith with you in hopes it will bring you hope, uplift Jesus, and stir you to action.

All-Church Potluck: Our church family table is best when everyone brings a little something. So, in the spirit of the loaves and fishes, we invite you to bring enough food to feed your family and some to share with our guests. We'll see you at the table this Sabbath! Let's join Janya Mekelburg’s team as they host this special monthly potluck (second Sabbaths). If you are visiting CVC, please come as our guest.
CVC members, please plan on contributing a minimum of three dishes (casseroles, salads, or desserts) to make sure there’s food for everyone.
Upcoming potlucks:
March 21 - Spring Break (no Forks and Friendship today)
March 28 - Forks and Friendship hosted by Noreen Mwabe’s team
April 4 - Forks and Friendship hosted by Linda Becker’s team
April 11 - UAU Homecoming Weekend (no All Church potluck today)

MINISTRY & SMALL GROUPS NEWS

CVC Connection: Join us Wednesday evenings! Enjoy a soup supper at 5:45pm in Heartland Hall, followed by many small groups at 6:30pm.

CANVAS meets again this Sabbath at 6pm in The Well. Join us and bring a friend as we continue our series “Stepping into the Son,” exploring what it means to live in intimate communion with God.

WEDNESDAY WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY: On Wed, Mar 25, we'll start a study on Rahab! We meet Wednesdays at 12pm in Heartland Hall B. Please feel free to join us any time. You are welcome to bring your lunch, if you so desire.

BIRDING SMALL GROUP: Crane Birding Trip - If you would like to see the miracle of the Sandhill Crane migration, you are invited to join the Birding Small Group on Sabbath, March 21, for a trip to Kearney. We will be leaving immediately following church, eating sack lunches that we bring, and we will see the cranes and other migrating birds near Kearney. We will also watch the birds land in the river at sunset. We will be back in Lincoln by 10pm. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Linda Becker at linda.becker@ucollege.edu.
ANNOUNCEMENTS

Marvyl Carlson, mother of Rich, went to sleep in Jesus this week surrounded by her family. There will be a private graveside service at Fort Snelling Cemetery in Minnesota next week. Thanks for all your prayers for our family.

Adventist World Radio is the most effective SDA gospel spreading ministry. AWR is financially supported by people like you! AWR annual Mission Sabbath is tomorrow, March 14. Broadcasting the Gospel to unreached & unreachable people. www.awr360.org.

Community Resource List: One act of kindness may change a life. To help facilitate members reaching out to those in need, the Volunteer Ministry Team has prepared a community resource list that can be utilized to find the specific resources our friends and neighbors can use in times of need. Please pick up your copy at the Ministry Gallery to use this as a handy guide when you know someone needs help but aren't sure where to turn. Our city has hundreds of resources; we can be the hands and feet that are needed to connect a struggling person with these resources. Keep this list in a place where you can refer to it easily - and share with love!

Prayer Focus: "Live in contact with the living Christ, and He will hold you firmly by a hand that will never let go. Know and believe the love that God has for us, and you are secure; that love is a fortress impregnable in all the delusions and assaults of Satan. 'The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it, and are safe.' Prov. 18:10" (Prayer, pg. 302 E.G. White) Send your prayer requests and praises to Dina Horst at 402.420.5970. Thank you!
