Speaking this week is Simon Liversidge, our Lead Pastor, exploring what it is "To Seek & To Save." In Luke 19, Jesus enters Jericho and finds Zacchaeus up a tree. He invites him to come down and goes to his house. Jesus says this is His mission: to seek and save the lost. Jesus invites all His followers to be part of His mission...and to notice the empty chair. Who is missing, and who can we invite? Jesus wants us to know we are all His children, and He takes ultimate responsibility for us.

Everyone is invited to join us for our Forks and Friendship Potluck hosted by Noreen Mwabe’s team. If you are visiting College View, please come as our guest! Church members, please help make our table abundant by bringing a variety of favorite dishes to share.

Plan to attend these upcoming potlucks:

• October 10 - All Church potluck hosted by Carol Silva’s team
• October 17 - Forks and Friendship hosted by Janya Mekelburg’s team
• October 24 - Forks and Friendship hosted by Tabby Coto’s team
• October 31 - Forks and Friendship hosted by Carol Silva’s team

Whether you’ve been following The Chosen from the beginning or haven’t watched before, you’re welcome to join us. After the screening, we’ll close the Sabbath together with a song and brief devotional thought. HEALTH MINISTRY: Hey CVC family! I’m excited to let you know that we’re now offering new machine-based fitness sessions at Reiner Wellness Center. These workouts are designed for everyone — whether you’re a complete beginner or a high-level athlete. Every exercise can be easily adjusted to your current fitness level. The goal is to help you build strength through the essential movement patterns we use in everyday life, including pushing, pulling, squatting, hinging, and core stability. These small-group sessions will take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 and 6:40pm, with only eight spots available per session. Everything is completely free and open to everyone — you don’t need a gym membership. You’ll just need to sign the liability waiver and register for your spot. To get the registration link, simply text MACHINES to 844.291.6969. Don’t forget, our regular full-body group workouts will continue every Monday and Wednesday at 6:15pm, with no registration required. We’d love to have you join us. Hope to see you there!

BIRDING SMALL GROUP is going out to see migrating birds with Shari Schwartz and John Carlini on Sabbath, October 3. We'll meet at 4:30pm in the church parking lot! Call Linda Becker (402.499.6192) for more info.

WOODLAND ACRES: Our last vespers of the year is this Sabbath, October 3. Please join us at 6:30pm around a warm campfire and enjoy some hot chocolate with us as we close the 2026 season. Everyone is welcome!
