WORSHIP THIS SABBATH

Speaking this week is Simon Liversidge with "A Seat at the Table." We'll explore the stories of three strong spiritual leaders who loved their people but had a mindset of exclusion. To preserve their people, they cosed their doors to others. Jesus is the opposite. He opens His table to ALL. His mindset is that the table belongs to God; that God desires to expand His table, not restrict it, and that God's table has room for all.

Parents, we love having you and your children in church, but we invite and urge you to keep your kids from running up and down aisles and in the lobby. This is not only an issue of respect and reverence, but also an issue of safety. Thank you!
Join us this Sabbath immediately after the church service as Gerrie Eddy and her team host Forks and Friendship potluck. If you are a CVC member, please bring several dishes to share—your contribution makes sure there is enough food for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!

Upcoming potlucks:
August 29 - Forks and Friendship hosted by Renata Richardson’s team
September 5 - Potluck on Prescott. Plan now for our annual tradition!
September 12 - Forks and Friendship hosted by Becky Krueger’s team
September 19 - Forks and Friendship hosted by Cecilia Liversidge’s team

Bloom in the Desert: Navajo Women's Mission Trip • March 13–21. Come be the hands and feet of Jesus! This spring, we're inviting a team of women to join us on a mission trip to the Navajo Mission in Kayenta, Arizona, where we'll have the privilege of sharing Christ's love with the women of the Navajo Nation through practical acts of kindness, encouragement, and friendship. Many of these women have limited access to everyday necessities and rarely experience the simple gift of being cared for. Together, we'll minister to both body and soul by offering prayer, sharing the Gospel, and serving in tangible ways. Whether your gifts include cooking, giving manicures or haircuts, organizing a donation shopping room, assisting with communion, leading arts and crafts, or simply offering a listening ear and praying with others, there is a place for you on this team. We'll also enjoy meaningful fellowship together, including visits to Sedona and the Grand Canyon as we travel by charter bus. If your heart is stirred by this opportunity to serve, add your name to the interest list today! Cost: TBD based on # of attendees. For more information or to express your interest, visit our interest table after church on August 22 & 29 or email cecilia.liversidge@collegeviewchurch.org
Mom's Swim & Spa Day - this Sunday! Moms, you deserve an afternoon just for you! Join us from 12–4pm for a relaxing afternoon of friendship, swimming, lunch, manicures, and massages. We'll gather at Rebeca Becker's home (5185 Quarry Ledge Road, Roca). Manicures and massages will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so come ready to unwind, connect, and be refreshed. Questions?  Contact cecilia.liversidge@collegeviewchurch.org. See you then; we can't wait to spend the afternoon with you!
Bloom: If you’re interested in a small group for women who want to grow in relationships, emotional capacity, honesty, and spiritual understanding, join Bloom!  We explore how God uses our brokenness to bring beauty into life.  We meet every other week on Monday at 6pm, beginning on August 31, in the Board Room.  Facilitated by a counselor, a communicator, and a friend. -Jacquie Gerrans, Linda Becker, and Ana Cooksley
Woodland Acres vespers this week is featuring Kathy Bollinger as our speaker. We will begin with a potluck supper at 5:30pm then at 7pm, Kathy Bollinger will be speaking. For the potluck, please bring your favorite outdoor food to share and your comfortable outdoor chair; veggie burgers, drink and table service will be provided. Watch the signs for the location as we will be in a different spot this time, and your own chair will be needed. (Our next vespers will be on Sept 5) Everyone is welcome!
