Church Life News

Speaking this week is Simon Liversidge, our Lead Pastor on "How to Grow Together." In Ephesians 3-4, God reveals His plan of bringing the church into unity to reveal His character to the universe. God invites His followers to pray, serve, and speak truth in love as steps to grow in unity.

Prayer Focus: Church family, "Christ, our Mediator, and the Holy Spirit are constantly interceding in man’s behalf, but the Spirit pleads not for us as does Christ, who presents His blood, shed from the foundation of the world; the Spirit works upon our hearts, drawing our prayers and penitence, praise and thanksgiving. The gratitude which flows from our lips is the result of the Spirit’s striking the cords of the soul in holy memories, awakening the music of the heart." (1 Selected Messages, 344) Please send your praises and requests to Dina Horst at 402-420-5970. Thank you!

  • Church Directory: We currently have an ever-growing online church directory that can be accessed from our CVC app. We have been asked if there can also be a printed version, so here's the deal! We plan to print a church pictorial directory in January 2023. It will contain all the pictures from the online app, along with a membership directory in the back. Everyone whose picture is in the online directory will be entitled to a free copy of the printed edition. If your picture is not in the online directory, you can purchase a copy of the printed version for $10. Between now and when the directory goes to press, you still have an opportunity to get your picture submitted. You can take it yourself and send it to us, you can have one of our highly skilled professionals take it, or you can ask one of the pastors to use their phone cameras to capture you or your family! The professional photographers will be available to take pictures on December 3 & 10. All it takes is a minute to fill in the information sheet and 5 seconds to take the picture. Sign up link for December 3 times (9:00-11:25, 12:30-1:00pm): Sign up link for December 10 times (9:00-11:25, 12:30-3:00 pm for potluck)
