POTLUCK ON PRESCOTT...Our largest potluck of the year is here again, happening today after the second service! We hope you will plan to be here and join in the experience in keeping with our 125th-anniversary celebrations. Please bring lots of food as we serve our young adult community as a church family.

EXPERIENCE, LEARN, UNDERSTAND...The renowned Poverty Simulation experience is coming to College View Church on September 15, 1:30-4:00 p.m. This interactive, immersive game will help you better understand your neighbors and your community as you navigate the circumstances of poverty in Lincoln. Your free ticket can be picked up at the church office.

LACE UP YOUR SHOES AND...walk, run, or volunteer for a reason! The seventh-annual EYE RUN, a fundraiser and health awareness event, is Sunday, October 6, at Holmes Lake Park. Proceeds benefit people who are blind through Christian Record Services for the Blind, an official ministry of the North American Division. Learn more and register at www.EYERUN.info.

EYES FOR INDIA...is a ministry of It Is Written designed to bring physical eyesight to thousands in need, along with spiritual eyesight by introducing these thousands to Jesus Christ through literature. For just $75, you can help one person receive the necessary treatment to restore their sight. To make a contribution, you can drop your donation in the jar at the Ministry Gallery, or mark your tithe envelopes “Eyes for India.”

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION...Come. Celebrate! Bob Wiedemeyer will be 75 years old Sunday, September 8. It is also 25 years since Bob began his Adventist testimony because he initially attended the Mark Finley Net 94 Revelation Seminar. Come to Northside Church Better Living Center for refreshments and fellowship Sunday, September 8, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S RETREAT...”Called” is happening October 25-27 in Grand Island. Bonita Shields will present Courage, Character, Commitment, and Confidence for the Call. WOMEN OF SPIRIT...is a program for women ages 14-114. Our next meeting is on October 7 at 6:30 p.m. in Heartland Hall. For the 1st time in one setting, Alicia Renee Todd will share an eagle’s eye view of her entire testimony. She will reveal how the God of all creation cared enough about her to walk her through childhood abandonments and abuses, teenage performance issues and young adult mishaps created out of her childhood survival techniques, all the while calling her out of generational dysfunction and into a life of victory! Come and be encouraged in your walk with God so you can experience the same!

MAN CAMP...is coming! A lot of boys grow older and never know what it means or takes to be a man, always faking it hoping no one will ever find them out. This weekend is designed and created in order to stop that in our culture. To help produce godly men who are warriors, kind, and good. This is for 7th-12th grade men and their dads. TRANSPORTATION...Are you willing to give someone a ride to church? We have some folks that are unable to make it on their own but would still love to come and worship the Lord at CVC. We would love to have several people that are willing to drive so that no one will have to do it every week. Please contact the church office if you are willing.

FOOD LABELS FOR CHURCH...Beginner 1 Sabbath School collects canned food labels from the brands of Worthington, Loma Linda, and Caroline. All UPC comes from these canned products begin with 45561. Only the can label can be collected (not frozen packaging labels). The labels are used in our Sabbath School program and then are turned in to the food companies for $0.25 per label. We would be GRATEFUL for you participation! Just remove the entire label from your canned foods, place them in a bag and leave them by the beginner 1 SS door or at the church office. Thank you!

WANTED...Pastor Mic needs your 2-liter bottles for a ministry opportunity. If you would like to donate your used, cleaned out bottles, please bring them to the CVC office before October 3.

4TH ANNUAL “A DAY WITH JESUS”...The CVC youth team would like to invite all 7th-12th grade girls to our annual fall event, “A Day with Jesus”! This year we are “Getting honest” about life and what it looks like to walk daily with Jesus. This weekend is packed with friends, food, fellowship, and activities to help you grow with God. The event will help in the CVC youth room October 4 at 7:30 p.m. and October 5 at 10:40 a.m. and 4:30-9:00 p.m. Dinner will be provided. Please RSVP by September 29 to Tori Henton at (417) 766-3544. WOODLAND ACRES...Plan ahead for supper with Pastor Mic on September 14! Come join us for a potluck supper and then hear another inspiring message from Pastor Mic for vespers at Woodland Acres. We will start supper at 6 p.m. and then give Pastor Mic our full attention at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
