Speaking this week is our Lead Pastor, Simon Liversidge, presenting "The Myth of the Second Chance." Our choices matter, often more than we imagine. As Jesus is about to leave, He tells His disciples not to do anything but to wait. When He sends the Holy Spirit, then they can act. In Acts 1, we see three reasons why the Spirit matters so much. 1. God's plans for humanity are centered on His Spirit. 2. God's plans are revealed by His Spirit. 3. God's plans are directed by His Spirit.
We are currently conducting a survey regarding ministry and church involvement. Please click here to fill it out. Thank you!
All-Church Potluck: Join Cheryl Olson’s team this Sabbath, May 11 as they host the All-Church potluck in Heartland Hall. Bring 2-3 dishes to share (rule of thumb is enough for your family +6 more). Visitors and guests are welcome. See you there! P.S. Keep scrolling for info on upcoming potlucks!
Church family: "'Choose this day whom you will serve.' Joshua 24:15. Christ repeated the concept when He called us to take up our crosses daily and follow Him. Do you want to know something wonderful? A daily recommitment is not to ensure that we’ll never fail, but to help us develop the mentality that every single day is a new day. A new chance to follow Christ. God is the only One who can sanctify and make every part of us whole…'and He will do it.' All He wants is our trust, our belief, and a little time." (Praying God’s Word, Beth Moore) Send your prayer requests and praises to Dina Horst at 402.420.5970. Thank you!
